2…………> Israel New Covid19 Grip: Banning Outdoors Facilities

.

Two million Israelis were bound to be once again banned from visiting indoor facilities and events due to new rules that required them to take booster COVID-19 vaccine shots, as Israel is tightening its coronavirus rules: now, in order to get a green pass – a universal permit required to enter indoor facilities and visit indoor events – citizens will have to get a booster if they were vaccinated with their second shot more than six months ago. Alternatively, they can get one by passing a PCR test or if they recovered from COVID-19 less than half a year ago.

3…………> Target Gift Card Ring Broken: Launderers Caught

.

LOS ANGELES – Special agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) this morning arrested two people named in an indictment alleging a scheme to launder the proceeds of scams sent to fraudsters via Target gift cards. Bowen Hu, 26, of Hacienda Heights, and Tairan Shi, 27, of Diamond Bar, both Chinese nationals, were taken into custody today and are expected to be arraigned this afternoon in U.S. District Court in downtown Los Angeles. Two other defendants named in the indictment – Blade Bai, 33, of El Monte, a U.S. citizen, and Yan Fu, 58, of Chino Hills, also a Chinese national – will be summonsed to appear in federal court next month.

4…………> Cargo Ship Backlog: Supply Chain Troubles Ahead

.

A historic backlog of cargo ships in Southern California has left the supply chain and shipping industry in a crisis, Mario Cordero, the executive director of the Port of Long Beach, warned this week.
Cordero, who oversees one of the busiest ports in the country, advised people to start holiday shopping as soon as possible due to the disruptions in the supply chain. The port will move about 20 million containers this year, more than ever before, Cordero told Fox Business. Consumers will definitely feel the pinch, as companies across the board — from raw materials to durable goods, electronics, furniture, and auto parts — have been hit with shortages and delays.

5………….> Debt Ceiling War: US Congress
.

Last week Senate Republicans blocked legislation to raise the debt ceiling and allow the US to avoid an impending government shutdown and possible default. On Tuesday, the GOP also pooh-poohed a proposal by Democrats to allow for the debt ceiling to be raised with a simple majority vote, instead of the 60 vote supermajority ordinarily needed. The United States is hurtling toward the historically unprecedented prospect of defaulting on tens of trillions of dollars in debt as government funding is set to expire on 30 September, the end of the current fiscal year. On Tuesday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned that the government was on track to running out of money by 18 October if the borrowing limit was not raised soon.

2…………> Sharia Justice: Jamal Khashoggi

Fears are growing over the missing writer Jamal Khashoggi, after Turkish officials said they believed he had met a grisly death and dismemberment.

Mr. Khashoggi, a Saudi national, was last seen visiting the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on Tuesday, and a Turkish official told the BBC that initial investigations indicated he was murdered there.

Saudi Arabia has denied the accusations, saying it is “working to search for him”, and Jamal Khashoggi went to the consulate on Tuesday to obtain a document certifying he had divorced his ex-wife, so that he could marry his Turkish fiancée, Hatice Cengiz.

Ms. Cengiz said she waited outside for 11 hours, but he did not come out.

3…………> Bulgarian Journalist: Raped and Murdered

A television journalist identified as Viktoria Marinova was brutally murdered in Bulgaria’s northern town of Ruse, after she recently reported on alleged fraud with EU funds linked to big businessmen and politicians.
Bulgarian authorities, however, have said the crime did not immediately appear linked to her work.

 The investigative journalist who reported on an investigation into alleged corruption involving European Union funds, died of blows on her head and suffocation, regional prosecutor George Georgev said.

The thirty-year-old’s body was found in a park on Saturday, Georgiev said.

“Her mobile phone, car keys, glasses and part of her clothes were missing,” Georgiev said.

5…………> Dow 27,000: Is It The Top?

Following the latest uptick in interest rates by Obama appointee Jay “Janet Jr.” Powell, U.S. stocks retreated in the week ending Oct. 5, with all three major indices reported negative results, the Dow, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq decreasing 0.04 percent, 0.97 percent and 3.20 percent, respectively.

With the Vix index in oversold teritorry, the market experienced great volatility at its lows of the day, the Dow fell as much as 325.67 points. The S&P 500 broke below its 50-day moving average for the first time since July 5 before snapping back above the closely watched technical level. The Nasdaq closed as much as 1.2 percent lower.

The market has met resistance at 27,000 level of the DJI, and repeated support near 23,500. Another few tick of rates upward may lead to a broad selloff and test of the 18500 level, right before the most important election in decades.

The “Deep State” may have lost the Kavanaugh battle, but still has its most potent weapon against Trump: The invisible, real, unelected, answerable to no one true government of US aka Federal Reserve. Read “The Endless Beginning” by George Sorbane for more insides on the subject.

1…………> Gypsy Joker Gangsters: Indicted

A federal grand jury in the District of Oregon has returned a four-count indictment charging three members and associates of the Gypsy Joker Outlaw Motorcycle Club for racketeering, kidnapping, and murder. The indictment was returned on June 28 and unsealed today.

“The defendants allegedly violently kidnapped and murdered Robert Huggins to maintain and advance their positions in the Gypsy Joker Outlaw Motorcycle gang,” said Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Cronan. “This indictment is an important step toward dismantling this violent gang, and should send a clear message that the Department of Justice will bring to justice those who commit such heinous crimes on our streets.”

Mark Leroy Dencklau, 58, of Woodburn, Oregon; Earl Deverle Fisher, 48, of Gresham, Oregon; and Tiler Evan Pribbernow, 37, of Portland are charged with murder in aid of racketeering; kidnapping in aid of racketeering, resulting in death; kidnapping resulting in death and conspiracy to commit kidnapping, resulting in death. According to the indictment, the defendants are alleged from June 30 to July 1, 2015, to have kidnapped and murdered Robert Huggins, a resident of southeast Portland, Oregon.

3…………> In Old Winnie’s Chair: Trump

President Trump’s two-day official visit to the UK has been surrounded by controversy, protests, and howls of hatred, starting with his interview with The Sun, where he criticized Prime Minister Theresa May’s approach to Brexit and ending with demonstrations against his policies in London.

Social media pundits did not appreciate a photo of US President Trump sitting “arrogantly,” as some British tabloids referred to it, in former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s armchair. Many Twitter users claimed that Trump was “unworthy” of sitting in a chair that had belonged to the former British PM, who played a key role in saving the UK from Nazi Germany.

Some more reasonable people drew parallels between Trump and Churchill, recalling that the latter was not as much of a saint as some Brits think, even going as far as to say that they might have become friends.

Some twitter inhabitants admired Trump’s work, suggesting that it is comparable to that of the wartime British PM.

4………..> Russian Artistry After SSSR: A Void

A new and thorny page of Russian artistry has been investigated by photographer Matteo Lonardi and reporter Antoaneta Rossi, who visited Russian artists in their studios to shoot their portraits and speak to them about their work, the art scene, and creative censorship in the age of Putin.

Many of the artists, based in and around Moscow and St Petersburg, once displayed their work in public spaces but faced with increasing censorship there, some now feel more comfortable retreating to privacy of their private studios.

5…………> “MS-13 Punks Slammed”: ICE

A federal grand jury has indicted eight MS-13 members, on charges in connection with their MS-13 gang activities, including racketeering conspiracy; attempted murder in aid of racketeering; assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering; conspiracy to commit murder in aid of racketeering; and use, carry and possession of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.

  • Charged in the 18-count indictment, which was unsealed today, are the following alleged MS-13 members and associates:
  • Rolan Ivan Hernandez-Fuentes, 25, aka Ivan Fuentes, Tasmania, Ronal Ivan and Fuentes Hernandez;
  • Jerson Gutierrez-Ramos, 20, aka Gerson Gutierrez, aka Sparky;
  • Cristian Wilfredo Cabrera-Cruz, 26, aka Cristin Benjamin Vigil and Mama;
  • Kevin Cruz, 19, aka Street Danger;
  • Jose Armando Saravia-Romero, 19, aka Jose Saravia, Mandy and Pinky;
  • Manuel Amaya-Alvarez, 21, aka Manuel Amaya and Chocolate; and
  • Jonathan Alexander Baires, 20, aka Splinter.

The name of the eighth defendant is currently under seal.

“The Department of Justice will not allow MS-13 to terrorize any community, school or street corner,” said Attorney General Sessions. “The gang has more than 10,000 members following its barbaric motto of ‘kill, rape, and control’ across 40 states, and that threatens law-abiding Americans. Today’s indictment of eight MS-13 members—including five who are charged as illegal aliens in possession of firearms —makes clear that the Trump Administration and this Department will continue to go on offense against MS-13 with every lawful tool at our disposal. I want to thank our fabulous Department of Justice attorneys for their hard work on this case as well as our partners with HSI, ICE, the Dallas County District Attorney’s office, and the Dallas and Irving Police Departments. This case is yet another step toward dismantling MS-13 and taking its members off our streets for good.”
