  1. Republican Senators have a very easy vote this week. It is about Border Security and the Wall (stopping Crime, Drugs etc.), not Constitutionality and Precedent. It is an 80% positive issue. The Dems are 100% United, as usual, on a 20% issue, Open Borders and Crime. Get tough R’s!

2…………> A Massive Cocaine Bust: Newark

On Feb. 28, 2019 approximately 3,200 lbs. of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $77,000,000, was seized at the Port of New York/Newark in a joint operation involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Joint Task Force East (JTF-E), the US Coast Guard (USCG), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the New York Police Department (NYPD), and the New York State Police (NYSP).

An examination of a shipping container entering the United States revealed 60 packages containing a white powdery substance that field-tested positive for cocaine.  This apprehension is the second largest cocaine seizure at the Port of New York/Newark, and the largest in nearly 25 years.

“Cocaine, New York’s nemesis of the 90s, is back-indicating traffickers push to build an emerging customer base of users mixing cocaine with fentanyl,” said DEA Special Agent in Charge Ray Donovan.

“This record-breaking seizure draws attention to this new threat and shows law enforcement’s collaborative efforts in seizing illicit drugs before it gets to the streets and into users’ hands”.

“Transnational Criminal Organizations rely upon illicit networks throughout the world to supply, transport, and distribute cocaine and other dangerous drugs,” said Brian Michael, Special Agent in Charge, HSI Newark.

“HSI’s Border Enforcement Security Task Force in Newark, comprised of CBP, Waterfront Commission of NY Harbor Police, Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, Port Authority Police Department, and Dover Police Department worked together to make this operation a success”.

3…………> Trump’s Record Budget: Ivanka’s Plan

President Trump has filed a record budget request that includes a $1bn (£765m) childcare fund, championed by his daughter and adviser, Ivanka Trump, who has made women’s economic issues her main focus, also lobbied for the childcare tax credit that found its way into the 2017 Republican tax reform bill.

Democratic presidential contender Elizabeth Warren has already touted her plan for affordable childcare, which would be paid for with a new tax on multimillionaires.

Affordable childcare is set to become a campaign issue next year as Democrats seek to thwart President Trump’s bid for re-election.

4…………> Washington’s Worst Number: Growing National Debt

In the 20 years from 1997 to 2017, President Trump’s first in office, America’s national debt nearly quadrupled from just over $5 trillion to more than $20 trillion, and after losing the presidency in 2016, Democrats once again ramped up their tough talk on the deficit, this time as a means of attacking President Trump and Congressional Republicans.

Well, good news—the 2020 budget proposed by President Trump today gives both parties a chance to show Americans where they stand on Washington’s “unpatriotic” spending addiction, with 5 billion for border security and immigration enforcement, more than $80 billion to fully support medical care for veterans, and $750 billion to continue rebuilding American national defense.
