We mourn for the lives lost and we pray for the victims of the California Wildfires. I want to thank the Firefighters and First Responders for their incredible courage in the face of grave danger….

The story in the New York Times concerning North Korea developing missile bases is inaccurate. We fully know about the sites being discussed, nothing new – and nothing happening out of the normal. Just more Fake News. I will be the first to let you know if things go bad!

When will Bill Nelson concede in Florida? The characters running Broward and Palm Beach voting will not be able to “find” enough votes, too much spotlight on them now!

2…………> “Mad Dog” At The Border: Mattis

.

As some 2,100 National Guardsmen and an additional 5,200 troops are deployed to the U.S.’s southern border to assist immigration enforcement efforts by building fences and putting up barricades to harden points of entry, DOD boss General James Mattis said he is planning to visit the area and inspect security measures in response to the wave of migrants coming from Mexico.

“I’ll visit the border tomorrow,” Mattis said at a news conference without giving further details.

The migrant caravan, beginning in Honduras, reached a peak of 7,000 people as many from other Central American nations joined in the 1,553 miles journey to enter the U.S. by foot. The caravan mostly consists of Hondurans who are fleeing from violence and poverty in their home countries and reported to have left Mexico City and begun the final leg of their journey to Tijuana, a Mexican city located on the border with the U.S. On Monday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced they would be closing multiple lanes at their ports of entry in anticipation of the migrant caravans.

3…………> Stop Hatred: AG Whitaker

.

“This report is a call to action—and we will heed that call. The Department of Justice’s top priority is to reduce violent crime in America, and hate crimes are violent crimes. They are also despicable violations of our core values as Americans,” Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker said in response to an FBI report that hates crimes across the U.S. rose by 17% in 2017.

More than half of the 7,175 hate crimes reported to the FBI by law enforcement agencies nationwide for the 2017 calendar year involved acts against individuals such as assault or intimidation, while 3,000 were attacks against property including vandalism, or robbery. In some instances, there was overlap in the two categories.

Nearly two-thirds — 59.6 percent — of the victims in 2017 were targeted based on their race, ethnicity or ancestry. Roughly 20 percent of victims were targeted because of their religion while about 15 percent were victimized based on their sexual orientation.

In all, last year saw a 58.1 percent increase in anti-Semitic incidents and an 18.6 increase in Islamophobic attacks. (Anadolu)

4…………> Einstein Anti-Semitic Letter: An Early Warning

.

“Here are brewing economically and politically dark times,” Einstein wrote to his sister in 1922, describing his fears for Jews in Germany before the Nazis took power, a letter sold at an action in Jerusalem, fetching $32,000 (€28,300).

In the 1922 letter, Einstein described the difficulties facing Jews in Germany as anti-Semitic sentiment was on the rise.

“So I’m happy to be able to get away from everything,” wrote the then 43-year-old after leaving Berlin for a location that goes unmentioned in the letter.

At the time, Einstein left the German capital after the assassination of Foreign Minister Walter Rathenau, who was a close friend and also Jewish. Police warned Einstein he could be next.

Gold up to 1204.5 and USD/CHF at 1.00 due to President Trump setting tariffs on Chinese products. Translation? As the dollar goes down, we have to wait and see if the new Fed Chair Jerome Powell will continue pressuring gold and the Eurasian block with it down below $1000/oz in an economic WW3. Watch cover short stop at 25,500.
We have to wait and see if new Fed chair Powell will attempt to destroy Eurasian block by sending gold prices below 1000, despite the fact both Russia and China have been buying their whole gold production in local gold backed currency instead of money printing machines. In other words, US has lost controls of the precious metals complex, and with Trump’s infrastructure and tax cut campaign the National debt will soon be at, or over 30 trillion dollars, since D.C. swamp alligators have no intention dropping their pet projects. 1…………> Cartel Mule Arrested: Mexico

A large haul of cash was among three seizures made by authorities in Baja California this week as Federal Police arrested a man who was unable to produce documentation confirming the origin of a shipment which, upon further inspection, consisted of 31 sacks containing cash in various denominations to retrieve a shipment of US $10 million that had arrived by plane at Tijuana International Airport.

In another search in the same airport, a police canine unit raised the alarm over a piece of luggage that on the first inspection appeared to be boxes of antacid and painkiller medications, that in fact turned out to be 295 fentanyl pills, while the other boxes, purportedly painkillers, contained controlled substances.

2…………> Jalisco vs Zetas: Bloody Feud

Puebla gangster Roberto “El Bukanas” de los Santos de Jesús, a soldier of the Zetas cartel, had gained control of the so-called Red Triangle region of the state whose big attraction is the important Minatitlán-Mexico City fuel pipeline.

But the fight for the profitable fuel theft business from the states of Veracruz and Tamaulipas ignited the inevitable violence between the gangs and their leaders, leading to shootouts between huachicoleros, aka fuel thieves, in which 12 people were killed, including gang leader Jesús “El Kalimba” Martín Mirón, the victim of an internal quarrel. He was sought not only by the authorities but by his own gang, the CJNG, and was reportedly in the process of altering his face and removing his fingerprints through plastic surgery.

Martín’s death triggered a series of executions throughout the state, despite the deployment of a 600-strong force by the Army and the Navy.

3…………> DACA Is Dead: Trump

President Trump reasserted his opposition to legalizing the status of hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children, aka “Dreamers” by declaring that the Republicans should “go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws [on illegal migrants] NOW”, and accused Mexico of doing “very little, if not NOTHING”, to stop migrants crossing its northern border.

Mr. Trump’s tweets referred to “caravans” coming, a possible reference to a caravan of more than 1,000 migrants, mostly Hondurans with their families, traveling together through Mexico to try to protect themselves against criminal gangs and harassment on their way to claim asylum once they reach the US border.

Mr. Trump’s tweets were met with scorn on Tweeter, including criticism from his former rival for the Republican presidential nomination, Ohio Gov. John “Pothole”  Kasich.

5…………> Living Planet: The Mekong under threat

The Mekong is the longest river in South-East Asia. Over 70 million people, living in six different countries, depend on this river for their livelihoods. But development is putting the ecosystem here under threat. Sand mines and hydro-electric power stations are changing the water quality, blocking fish migration routes and crippling the stability of the river banks.
